Chevy Teases Fans with Glimpse of Next-Generation Camaro in Detroit

Next-Generation Camaro

We didn’t get the full reveal of the next-generation Camaro we were hoping for at the North American International Auto Show, but we did get an all-too-quick glimpse of the eventual new model (we think). Though the Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle headlined the lineup, Chevy also showed an image of five new models coming to production this year. The image only revealed silhouettes, but we’re pretty sure one of those silhouettes was that of a Camaro.

The image has been enhanced online now—and the more we look at it, the more it looks like a Camaro to us here at Nehls Chevrolet. The folks at CamaroNews isolated the supposed Camaro silhouette, which features the familiar body design of the popular sports car and a pointier, edgier front grille design. Overall, if this is the new Camaro, it promises to be an exciting new variation on the sport car’s iconic theme.

The Camaro silhouette was joined by silhouettes for new generations of the Cruze, Malibu, and Spark. Also pictured was the Chevrolet Bolt, although that vehicle was already present in concept form at the auto show. Of course, as practical and progressive as the Bolt will be, it’s unlikely to upstage the Camaro in terms of excitement. The new Camaro, with its more aerodynamic design, will hit the market sometime later this year, so make sure to check back with us often for updates!
